I have a fresh CentOS 5 box running sendmail-procmail-spamassassin combo for email in a single domain. Everything is running ok with the exception of the messages marked as spam. I would love for them to go to a mailbox on the local system so that they can be reviewd or retrived by the local admin in case of a mix up. I simply cannot get them to go. This is the last line of the maillog after spamass* has marked the message and handed back to sendmail.


dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Connection refused by [127.0.0.1]

I have tried sending to spam@mydomain.com, spam@localhost.localdomain, spam@127.0.0.1, and spam@192.168.0.2

what would make sendmail refuse to send mail to a local user ?

Any help would be appreciated.

That is a full line from the maillog as snedmail is asked to forward the marked message to the system's spam mailbox.
