Question Spacewalk 2.2 setup-spacewalk errors: cannot add tomcat user to apache group

I'm in the middle of configuring a new spacewalk server using spacewalk-setup --disconnected --external-oracle as described here:

https://fedorahosted.org/spacewalk/wiki/HowToInstall

I'm not sure why but the setup script always dies with "cannot add tomcat user to apache group"

I've even manually added the user to the group and ran the script again but it still errors out. Any ideas?

Generally when something like that fails to install, it's a permissions issue.
Try running the script with elevated user rights (sudo or su to root).

Unfortunately I'm running it as root already. No idea other than to do a fresh install... I have spacewalk configured on another system with an internal postgress db but this is for an external oracle db if that is of any help.

external oracle db
are you adding your DB users (spacewalker) to the external DB or are you adding them locally?
