Snort configuration
 

Dear All,

I'm new guy to install snort with snorby.
I tried but failed many times.
I have no idea about how to install ruby,rails and other things.
Please help me to do this step by step.(Any os -- prefer linux)

i also need it..iam trying from many days but while installing daq it gives error

checking for libpcap version >= "1.0.0"... no

ERROR! Libpcap library version >= 1.0.0 not found.
Get it from http://www.tcpdump.org



infact i had installed latest version of libpcap....

by the way in which part you are getting problem

just download the related package of libpcap,daq,flex,tcpdump,libdnet and snort..and install one by one..

No hardware or operation system information provided. No error messages from OP of what is exactly failing or any indication of what might be causing the problem.

I am sure there are plenty of people on his forum who are happy to provide suggestions but there is not much information provided other than
