smb:\\ Timeout on Server

Hi!
I'm running Slackware 11.0. I downloaded Samba package. Then I runned smbd. It looks like it's working:
Code:
139/tcp  open  netbios-ssn
445/tcp  open  microsoft-ds
But when I goto konqueror, and type smb:\\ to view computers on the network, I get:
Code:
An error occurred while loading smb:\\:
Timeout on server
this is my configuration file, I save it as /etc/samba/smb.conf:
Code:
workgroup = Z 61
netbios name = WLMi5004
server string = Linux
security = user
encrypt passwords = yes
local master = no

[tmp]
comment = tmp
path /mnt/hda4/tmp/
public = yes
writable = yes
Thank you!

Thanks! now, I got:
Quote:
Unable to find any workgroups in your local network. This might be caused by an enabled firewall.
But I don't have any firewall.

Could it be, because I have wireless router plugged in into our router, and I'm accessing the network thru the wireless?

For example my IP is 192.168.1.100 when I'm using wireless and the other computer IP's are like 10.1.10.*, but I can ping them and access their ftp server, only can't access shares.. Thank you!

What's the workgroup name of the machines you are trying to see? Your workgroup name and these machines' workgroup names must match. In Windows, the default is WORKGROUP. Maybe try changing yours in smb.conf to the same value and restart Samba.

Thanks! The workgroup name is Z 61. I got samba running on other computer, that is in our network, like 6 months ago. It was running Slackware 10.1
