sftp version.


how to check version of sftp.

I have run the command ssh -V, it is showing ssh version

It is the same as for the SSH client, they are part of the same package.

Code:
dpkg -S /usr/bin/sftp

apt-cache policy openssh-client
Or if you mean the SFTP server, it is a subsystem included in the openssh-server package.

SFTP is really just ssh (unless a separate client is installed)

You should be able to use yum list (or your distro's equivilent) to check the installed version of our openssh

Yes, sftp is just part of the SSH package.
