Setting up NFS issues

Hi All

For the first time I ma trying to setup NFS on centos 5.5

I have created the folder for access, edited the /etc/exports file and edited the /etc/hosts.allow file. The port mapper is already running but when I try to start NFS I get the following

Starting NFS services: [ OK ]
Starting NFS quotas: Cannot register service: RPC: Unable to receive; errno = Connection refused
rpc.rquotad: unable to register (RQUOTAPROG, RQUOTAVERS, udp).
[FAILED]
Starting NFS daemon: rpc.nfsd: writing fd to kernel failed: errno 111 (Connection refused)
rpc.nfsd: unable to set any sockets for nfsd
[FAILED]

I have tried searching but seem a little out of my depth here. Can anyone help

Thanks

Is your portmap service running? I have run into that issue before. Also, after editing your /etc/exports did you do exportfs -a?
