Setting up a "smart" proxy server that logs into sites automatically

Hi!

I have a private Linux server facing the public internet.
It runs a web service accessible at example.com.

I would like to run an inline proxy service of sorts (I don't know what the term is!). For example, the way Google (site) translate shows the translated page within the Google page.

What I want is something like this:

1) I go to my password protected page "example.com/wordpress"
2) I supply my "Master Password" to the htaccess mechanism.
3) Using credentials stored on the server, the proxy logs into my wordpress.com account and sends me the logged-in pages at wordpress.com.
4) Maybe it even marks the pages "delivered by example.com" in red script.

Is this do-able?

Recommended search engine queries are very welcome.
