Setting up a print sever with Debian Lenny

I've been casting about the web searching for clear instructions for setting up a print server using command-line tools with a USB printer. The server is Debian Lenny, the printer is a brother hl-2170w. Can somebody tell me where to look?

Hello,

You can do that with CUPS. Either you set it up completely using the configuration files or you can use the webbased administration page from any computer in your network (if CUPS is setup to listen to a LAN IP). Have a look at this tutorial.

Kind regards,

Eric
