Hey,

Recently i have been forced to use a windows box for various reason, and i cant get a secure log onto my box at home, im at uni.

Before i used to just fish and ssh into my box at home for all my files. I cant do this now with windows, so was looking for a way to set my apache server up so that i can log onto it, and it will show directories that i set.

How would i go about setting up apache to only allow certain username to log onto my server and what would i have to do to set it all up.

I currently have apache and php installed on the server.

.htaccess permits you to password protect directories using Apache:
