Actually, I have two problems with the current setup.
One, I can't see any of the shared folders on my network, and can't see the Linux unit from the Windows computers.
Two, the test webpage (ultimately to be changed to a forum, for testing) can't be seen from the internet.
I believe I need to install Samba to resolve the first problem, and any suggestions will be appreciated.
For the second, I am completely lost. I'm not a newbie, I'll have to study to get to that level

!
Setup:
I have a running LAN (in Windows) behind a D-Link broadband router, on cable. Everything works fine there, and the server I am setting up on Linux, ran a small Http server program succesfully, so I know the virtual server in the router is correct, and my ISP is not blocking port 80.
The Linux server was set up with Suse 10.2, and loaded Apache 2, PHP 5, and MySQL, all according to the Cool Solutions document by Kevin Millecam that I've seen mentioned here. No PHPMyAdmin yet because of problems configureing (that's the next battle down the road).
Apache, PHP, and MySQL, tested and working.
Browseing //localhost brings the test page properly. Browseing //192.168.0.131 (set static to this unit in router), brings the test page properly.
Either of these in one of the other units in the LAN, fails.
I had a friend try my IP (that the router sees from the outside), and that fails.
Hope that covers everything. Any ideas will be appreciated. I'm sure it's just some minor setting that I am unaware of, but I've read, searched, and tried until I'm blue.
Thanks in advance.
