Server Distro for old BSD Guy

I have been using BSD for the last 10 years on my servers. I feel it's time to move on to Linux...

Been a desktop Ubuntu user for years. What are your thoughts for distros as a server platform? Web, Mail, DNS, Firewalls? Which ones have the best security out of the box?

I have been playing around with CentOS and Ubuntu server both seem very reasonable.

Just looking for secondary thoughts.

Since you're already experienced with Ubuntu, that is my recommendation. Make sure you use the LTS releases so you get 5 years rather than 18 months of support.
