Sendmail / MySQL CPU Time Question
 

Okay so we have a mass-mailing php script and I was just wondering if we should get that script its' own server. I'm not quite sure what information I should give here and I realize my question is far too general - let me know what other information you'd need.

Basically the server it is now on is our main database server and that thing runs pretty slowly. I'm just wondering if it would noticeably increase speed if I took off sendmail. Or stopped it. I realize that you probably need to know the load on it and the specs of the server so here they are:

Also, the average load on it goes to around 3-4 tops.

Personally, I don't believe there's anything wrong with the average load time or the specs. I think it's a bandwidth issue. Let me know if I'm horribly wrong!
