Sendmail local and relay delivery for domain

I have domain xyz.com which is hosted by my ISP. I use fetchmail to download and deliver the mail local and everyone in the organization download the mail from the local server. The server is also set to receive mail for domain xyz.com locally because I do not want mail that get sent from inside the organization to doman xyz.com to go out to the ISP first and then come back to the server via fetchmail. My problem is that I have two reps working in another office with e-mail addresses on domain xyz.com and I would like these two addresses not to get delivered locally but just go through to the ISP.

Thanks for any help

Isak

Hi,

Assuming that those reps do not exist locally, you should setup luser_relay and use also "preserve_luser_host", so that the initial email address does not get rewritten. Something like that:
Code:
define(`luser_relay', `isp.server.com.')dnl
FEATURE(`preserve_luser_host')

For some reason my preserve_luser_host does not work. If I send mail to user@xyz.com the mail goes to isp.server.com but the address get rewritten to user@isp.server.com and the mail fail to deliver.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've never used this option, so I cannot tell how it is supposed to work.
Try to use smtp:
Code:
define(`luser_relay', `smtp:isp.server.com.')dnl
and see if it changes anything.
This was a problem for sendmail versions < 8.12.3 according to this, so I guess it should be solved by now.
