Try
Code:
cat /tmp/body_of_email.txt | mailx -s subject to-addr

Cant use mailx or mail cmd as my environment has RHEL4/5/6 servers and RHEL6 servers doesnt support uuencode for attaching files we have to use -a option but we cant do that because we use scripts to run jobs and then send mail for job report. which would require us to create to two separate scripts for rhe4/5 & rhel6.

just wanted to know any options that can be included with sendmail cmd so that subject line doest come in body as sendmial cmd is compatable with all rhel release.

Well then probably 'man sendmail' and check which option changed.
