sendmail: Cannot open mail:25

I'm trying to use sendmail but I get the following error message

sendmail: Cannot open mail:25

If I do netstat -an | grep :25

I get nothing so I presume port 25 is not in a listen state on my computer so how do I change this?

Is sendmail or any other MTA running? That's what it sounds like to me.

Always pick the one that was started first, any others are the duplicates and should be closed. We should leave this one open, close the other. And please do not double post, it's pointless and against our rules.

Also, use the report feature and let the moderators handle it from there. Thanks.
