searching samba share breaks connection to share

Hi guys,

I have a samba server running on a RHEL box, users can connect to the shares at login and browse the contents of them fine, but when they search the share using the windows find feature, the share disconnects and then will raise access denied to anybody trying to browse the share further. I have a feeling that the windows user that is searching the share isn't the logged on one, so here's the kicker; does anybody know enough about windows AND samba to know if my assumption is correct, and if so what user it connects under, and where to change it.

what do your samba log files say about all this?

Ooops. August 2006! I somehow wound up on the last page. Oh well, did you ever get this sorted?
