I'm looking at some at least 5 year old samba servers (running older redhat) as reference for setting up a brand new samba server, and all the old ones have this line in them
but looking through the default smb.conf on this new server with the latest version fo redhat, I don't see those setting referenced in there anymore. Are those now defaults or something? I'm not sure how to tell if I need to add that line into my new smb.conf or not.
Going to samba.org and looking up those directives it looks as though they deal with performance. They are probably still available, but maybe not used much anymore?
