samba server with its dependencies

i have sent this email on other sub forum but i think to send it here is better

I am using centos 4.4 and i want to install samba, i know that samba should have been already installed in centos but unfortunately it is not.

I have tried to install several samba versions .rpm and all result in error: Failed dependencies

Now what i want to know from where i can download samba server component and SWAT component with their dependencies

thnx in advance

have you tried using yum? I'd expect samba to be in the core repository and this should be configured by default. Type

yum install samba

from the terminal and it should resolve all dependencies, etc.
