samba server as a member of an Active Directory domain


Hi,
am trying to configure samba server as a member of an Active Directory domain but am getting following error


root@RHEL6 Desktop]# net ads join -U administrator
Enter administrator's password:
[2013/02/22 23:32:31.813372, 0] libads/kerberos.c:333(ads_kinit_password)
kerberos_kinit_password administrator@DECCANHERALD.CO.IN failed: Cannot find KDC for requested realm
Failed to join domain: failed to connect to AD: Cannot find KDC for requested realm
[root@RHEL6 Desktop]#

Here is the my configure files

/etc/samba/smb.conf

under global

workgroup = deccanherald
server string = Samba Server Version %v


security = ads
realm = deccanherald.co.in
server string = samba
idmap uid = 10000-20000
idmap gid = 10000-20000
template shell = /bin/bash
template homedir = /home/%D/%U


under share

path = /ras

guest ok = yes

browseable = yes

comment = share
path = /sales
writable = yes
browseable = yes


/etc/krb5.conf
[logging]

admin_server = FILE:/var/log/kadmind.log

[libdefaults]
default_realm = deccanherald.co.in
dns_lookup_realm = false
dns_lookup_kdc = false


[realms]
deccanherald.co.in = {
kdc = deccanherald.co.in
admin_server = 10.10.3.11
default_domain = deccanherald.co.in
}

[domain_realm]
.deccanherald.co.in = samba.COM
deccanherald.co.in = samba.com

/etc/nsswitch

#group: db files nisplus nis

passwd: files winbind
shadow: files winbind
group: files winbind

if i were you, i would go with enterprise samba (1), fully compitable with windows AD
including group policy support. it comes with samba4
