Talking Samba password protected shared file. is it possible? [CentOS7]

Hello!

I installed Samba on my CentOS 7. And Created shared files on smb.conf.

My concern is that my boss want Read/Write a shared file that she is the only one who can access that particular shared file.

Is there a configuration that a shared folder can be password protected?
Or a shared folder that can be Read/Write by a certain user/hostname?

Any suggestions?

Thank you very much!

Peace!

Hi there,

You can restrict access for a share to specific users with something like "valid users = dave". Details at https://www.samba.org/samba/docs/using_samba/ch09.html.
