Samba NT and Unix groups

Hi all,

This is my first query and it concerns a groups issue.

I am trying to establish a Samba PDC on a Dell Poweredge with Redhat ES 4. Needless to say, I am not succeeding and am very tired. I may be missing something fairly basic.

I include the output from certain commands here:

[root@fileserver ~]# net rpc group delete "Domain Admins" -Uroot%password
Request open_group failed[root@fileserver ~]#

[root@fileserver ~]# net groupmap list

*******************************

Why am I getting an entry for Domain Users/Admins and Guests after "net groupmap list" and not after "net rpc group list" ??

When I add a group called 'Domain Admins' it gets added to the list seen after "net groupmap list" ... !!!

I cannot erase the Domain Admins properly either.

Any help would be gladly received,

Thanks.
