I recently tried Samba w/ LDAP auth PDC and works fine to my 10 windows xp clients, now theres a new scenario, we added 5 linux clients in our network. How may we allow to authenticate the logins of the 5 added linux box? I've read that theres a LDAP server how-to but we planned it to also install in the same pdc server. Is there any conflict if the PDC linux box would be SAMBA/LDAP auth for windows and LDAP Server for auth of linux clients?

Not sure about your question. You say you have been able to authenticate WinXP clients to a Samba Server.
Then, you are not going to have problems with Linux Clients.

3 ways to authenticate users of Linux clients to AD (or a Samba Sever emulating a AD Domain Controller).
- SMB: This is the way you can use in your Linux clients. Yous say your windows clients work, so also linux clients.
- LDAP: You have to configure authentication to LDAP, but this is possible for linux clients (as I know, windows clients can't authenticate directly to a LDAP).
- kerberos.

So using "smb" in your pam and configuring samba, you also can join your linux machines to the Samba Server.
