samba and file create permission

When users create file (not directory) via samba share, the files have 766 permission (I want them to have 765 permission). I have "create mask = 0777" in samba conf file. umask is 0022.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks.

For the shares that you need to force the permission mask, in your config file, use the following:

force create mode = 0765
create mask = 0765

And if you need to change the directory (you might depending on the access that you have set up), use:

force directory mode = 0765

Hope this helps!
