rsync ISSUE HTELLLP!

I don't know what wrong...
rsync -av -e ssh rsync://root@XXX.XXX.X.X:/home/bestofbest/public_html/forum /var/www/html/
ssh: connect to host XX.XXX.X.X port 22: Connection timed out
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [receiver]
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(463) [receiver=2.6.8]

how to fix this?

What happens if you try it this way?

Code:

rsync -av -e ssh root@XXX.XXX.X.X:/home/bestofbest/public_html/forum /var/www/html/

Has this worked for you in the past?

Does the server allow root logins via ssh?

What happens if you use the user 'bestofbest' instead of root?

I agree with fordeck, any sysadmin with an IQ in positive territory doesn't allow root login via ssh. Try with a different user.
