RHEL4 autofs on /home

Ok, for some reason I can't get autofs to work on /home. I setup a NIS server and wanted to map the /home on the client to the /home on the server with NFS. But I want to use autofs to mount the users' home directories. BUT I get an error every time. Here is my configuration:

Turned off firewall and SELinux on both system to rule those out. It works if I use /tmp/home as the autofs mount, but no with /home.

SERVER:

/etc/exports
Code:
/home/ 10.0.0.0/255.255.255.0(async,rw,no_root_squash)
CLIENT:
/etc/auto.master
Code:
# Sample auto.master file
# This is an automounter map and it has the following format
# key [ -mount-options-separated-by-comma ] location
# For details of the format look at autofs(5).
#/misc /etc/auto.misc --timeout=60
#/misc /etc/auto.misc
#/net /etc/auto.net
/home /etc/auto.home
/etc/auto.home
Code:
*       -rw,soft,intr   mynis:/home/&
This is the error I get when trying to start the autofs service.

Code:
[root@nisclient ~]# service autofs start
Starting automount: /home: mount failed!
failed to load map: /usr/sbin/automount --timeout=60 /home file /etc/auto.home
                                                           [FAILED]
Thank you in advance....

What's in /var/log/messages after you start autofs?

There are 3 lines that show up.

Code:
Apr 13 06:34:09 localhost automount[14892]: mount_autofs: already mounted
Apr 13 06:34:09 localhost automount[14892]: /home: mount failed!
Apr 13 06:34:09 localhost autofs: automount startup failed
Could it be because there is already a /home mount point? So it wont let me mount there again with autofs?

Here is a copy of my fstab.. (it's the default install for VMware....)
Code:
[root@nisclient home]# cat /etc/fstab
# This file is edited by fstab-sync - see 'man fstab-sync' for details

Code:
/dev/sda3 on /home type ext3 (rw)
I think that's the issue... I'm going to test pulling /home from fstab and unmounting it.

EDIT: Yes, this was the issue!
