RHEL locking up when starting oracle
 
Friends we have licensed Version of Advanced Linux RHEL for server installation. WE have installed on Wipro 7552z server. It has got Oracle Database installed with 8 partitions. During normal boo it has shown error. s more , then the server hangs without any messagges. If buy passed all the for forcefull booting the required files are not booted.

What kind of errors are shown? Are you using RHEL5? Theres not much information that anyone can help you. And forget about mailing you the solution at your postal address.
You may want to post some more information for others to help you.

Your question makes no sense..."buy passed all the for forcefull booting"??? Does that mean you don't bring up Oracle, and the server boots???

Oracle installations on RHEL require system modifications. The Oracle install docs have a complete list of what to do, and what parameters to set. Oracle's knowledgbase can also give you details on what kernel revision you need to be using, so the server won't lock up.

If you don't do what Oracle says, your server will have problems.

I modified the title of this post so it more accurate represents the help your looking for. Please don't request users to mail you, we provide answers in the public forum so that the entire community can benefit.

Also please avoid using titling things as urgent. Everyone thinks there problems are urgent.

Since you claim to have a fully licensed setup, to be honest you'd prob be quicker to phone the support line anyway.
