Question RHEL 6.4 kernel hangs on server boot

I am currently running three RHEL 6.4 64-bit servers for various functions. I recently upgraded the to kernel-2.6.32-358.el6.x86_64. The next time I booted any of the servers, the kernel hung. These servers are running as VMs on Citrix XenCenter Enterprise and ran beautifully until the errata update. I could only get the servers to boot again by dropping back to kernel-2.6.32-279.19.1.el6.x86_64 and removing the latest after the boot. This also caused other problems but that's for another forum.

Anyone hear of this before?
