restriction using squid(proxy)
 

hi friends,
i have applied restrictions for accessing sites by client using squid(proxy server). now it is required to put the restriction on download of *.mp3 and *.dat, *.jpg files.
is it possible to apply this restriction using squid(proxy server)?

will you please help me to solve this problem?

It is almost trivial doing it adding dansguardian to squid; then specifying extensions to filter on /etc/dansguardian/bannedextensionlist (self explaining filename isn't it?). It might be another way without installing dansguardian, but I have never needed it, so I don't know of another; that lazy I am sometimes.
