Reporting on a single user in maillog

Hi all, I am trying to produce a usage report for a single email address on a CentOS server running sendmail. The servers with Exim are easy as the exim mainlog records each mail with the address from, to and completed. Sendmail is a mess compared to this. I need to show who a certain email address sent mail to and who that same address received mail from. Any ideas on the easiest way to do this? Thanks.

Sendmail logs each mail too grouped by message ID. Just awk or grep for the requested from= or to= addresses. Can't see why that should be hard to do or be called a mess.
