Rearrange Account option WHM

Hello,

I have getting below message/error while moving cpanel account xyz from /home to /home2 using Rearrange Account option from WHM.

---------------------------------
Results of move:
New homedir already exists, all actions canceled (was this account already moved?)
-----------------------

Now I have below queries.

1). Is this account transferred successfully from /home to /home2?
2). Rearrange Account option creating symlink in /home to /home2 but it is not created.
3). There is no xyz directory in /home.
4). In WHM, xyz account disk usage space is showing 4 MB but directory path is showing /home2/xyz.

Please as suggest/guide on the same.

The message is telling you that ALL actions were canceled...since one of those actions is copying/moving files, what do you think? Have you tried to LOOK in /home2 to see if the files were copied?

Read/understand the message. It's TELLING YOU that homedir exists. You can't make another file/directory of the same name, or a symlink of the same name.

And what about in /home2, where you're trying to move things? And there may not be a DIRECTORY, but there could be a FILE, right?

Because the path has been modified, but nothing else done. Again, go back and manually look in the directory/filesystem, to see what's there. And if you're having problems, have you contacted your hosting provider? Why are you even using cpanel to do this, when you can log in and move it from the command line?
