rdiff on primary server, ftp secondary

Hi, I have a central debian server which is my primary backup server running rdiff but I also need a secondary backup server (FTP) to which I could first send the whole data (compressed and encrypted) and later just the diffs so if the office goes up in flames I could restore the backup from the FTP.
Is that possible using rdiff?

I much prefer rsync.

# rsync -av --progress --delete /home/ secondary_ftp:/data/home/

will initially transfer the contents of /home to the ftp machine.
After the first transfer, running the command again will only transfer the differences and delete any files removed from the primary.
cron it daily to keep the two in sync.

It you want to keep a rolling incremental backup how about rdiff-backup or rsnapshot.

That idea crossed my mind, but lets say that I only have r&w prilivages, no append.
Rsnapshot is unusable for incremental backups because it makes hard links which you archive like real files, and rdiff uses reverse increments that go back to the past.
