raid


Hi

i have centos 5.3 i have two h/d 1st h/d used as primary and backup of reqd things of first h/d is copied into 2nd h/d , i want to configure mirriong in this server how to configure this , raid 1 is ok or not

Yes RAID 1 can be used for mirroring, use the following command:

#mdadm -C /dev/md0 -l1 -n2 /dev/hd0 /dev/hd1


Remeber to replace hd0 and hd1 with your hdd names. Good luck.
