RAID 10 drive fail simulation

I simulate a drive fail by pulling it out when the server is on. I am pulling out sdb, and in mdstat, md0-2 is missing sdb which is correct, but on md127, the raid set is missing sda, which is weird. FYI, md127 is a extended partition, which I does not know what it means.

[root@localhost ~]# cat /proc/mdstat
Personalities : [raid10] [raid1]
md127 : active raid10 sdc5[2] sdd5[3] sdb5[1]
1905129472 blocks super 1.1 512K chunks 2 near-copies [4/4] [_UUU]
bitmap: 0/15 pages [0KB], 65536KB chunk

md0 : active raid1 sda1[0] sdc1[2] sdd1[3]
511936 blocks super 1.0 [4/4] [U_UU]

md1 : active raid10 sdc2[2] sdd2[3] sda2[0]
40927232 blocks super 1.1 512K chunks 2 near-copies [4/4] [U_UU]
bitmap: 1/1 pages [4KB], 65536KB chunk

md2 : active raid10 sdc3[2] sdd3[3] sda3[0]
6139904 blocks super 1.1 512K chunks 2 near-copies [4/4] [U_UU]

unused devices: <none>

Why it cross over to sda on md127?
