I'm new in setting up modules in proftp. Here's what I did:

Compile the source file ./configure --with-module=mod_quotatab:mod_quotatab_file and them make && make install

Then, I found the ftpquota in the contrib directory so I assume that it is the ftpquota binary they are referring. I do:

./ftpquota --create-table --type=limit
./ftpquota --create-table --type=tally

Then, create a user for testing

./ftpquota --add-record --type=limit --name=nelsonts --quota-type=user --bytes-download=100 --bytes-upload=100

Then, I show record ./ftpquota --show-record --type=limit

Name: nelsonts
Quota Type: User
Per Session: False
Limit Type: Hard
Uploaded bytes: 100.00
Downloaded bytes: 100.00
Transferred bytes: unlimited
Uploaded files: unlimited
Downloaded files: unlimited
Transferred files: unlimited

Then, I edit the file /usr/local/etc/proftpd.conf and put the ff:

QuotaLimitTable file:/usr/local/src/proftpd-1.3.2rc1/contrib/ftpquota.limittab
QuotaTallyTable file:/usr/local/src/proftpd-1.3.2rc1/contrib/ftpquota.tallytab

Then, restart proftp.

When I try to upload a file 6MB, it still pass thru. Quota is not working. I believe the record that I put only allowed 100 bytes upload and download

Is there a wrong or forgot procedure that I did not do?
