PXE install

Sorry guys, I'm a noob. Just wanted to get that out of the way. I've searched for threads on this, but all I keep finding are threads about how to get pxe to work with dhcp. Don't get me wrong, I need to know that later, but I first need to figure out how to install pxelinux itself! Thanks

I'm not sure what you are asking here.

Are you trying to find out the general concept behind a PXE install, or how to install a specific distribution through PXE booting?

I understand I was pretty vague, my apologies. I was referring to the general concept of how to install pxe. I did some research and found out I needed to install pxelinex.0 from a certain rpm, accompanied with the kernel and initrd.img file from my redhat disks. After that, I made a pxelinux.cfg directory, and added a default file with the paths needed. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get this all to work.

By the way, the reason I am doing this is because I want to setup dhcp on a server so that it can image a client.

Thanks
