I've had some issues with Samba on my debian file server, the shares work fine from my XboX running XBMC, and from my Windows-machine, but using smbclient I get this:
Quote:
ralin@FalDara:~$ smbclient -U lan //10.0.1.4/
Password:
Domain=[EMONDSFIELD] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.0.23c]
tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME
ralin@FalDara:~$
|
My smb.conf looks like this
Code:
[global]
workgroup = WOT
server string =
log level = 10
log file = /var/log/samba/log
invalid users = root
write list = ralin
[mp3]
comment = Mp3
path = /mnt/samba/mp3
read list = lan
read only = No
I have no write-permissions on mp3-share, which is okay.
But I am going to add more shares later on, among other a folder (not home-dir) which will "replace" "My documents" on Windows, do I have to add "write list = ralin" to that share too? I had a feeling it was enough to simply have it in [global]
