Problem with YaST

I am using suse10.2. Earlier I was able to update & install the softwares using YaST since

no authentication was required for proxy server access. But after Authentication came into

effect, i am not able to use YaST. When I changed the settings in YaST->Network Services ->

Proxy and clicked 'Test Proxy Settings' , I got this error.

About to connect() to proxy (my_proxy) port 3128

The same settings(proxy & authentication) works with firefox. Can anyone help me out with

this?

Thanks in Advance.

well your squid box clearly states that access was denied, so you must be supplying the wrong credentials somewhere, or haven't configured squid correctly..?

not related to networking, moved to Linux - Server, as this appears to be a squid problem.
