Problem with vsftpd

Hi
I've been trying to use virtual users with my Fedora 5 serverusing vsftpd and followed this guide:
http://alien2thisworld.net/sitePages...ers_setup.html

Everything went good until I tried to updload a file, I got this error:
Name (148.220.23.109:elias): webmaster
331 Please specify the password.
Password:
230 Login successful.
Remote system type is UNIX.
Using binary mode to transfer files.
ftp> put nano.save
local: nano.save remote: nano.save
227 Entering Passive Mode (148,220,23,109,165,78)
553 Could not create file.

Typed
pwd
and got
/

I checked the log:
tail -f /var/log/secure

And got this:
Nov 13 18:59:03 localhost vsftpd: PAM unable to dlopen(/lib/security/pam_keyinit.so)
Nov 13 18:59:03 localhost vsftpd: PAM [error: /lib/security/pam_keyinit.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory]
Nov 13 18:59:03 localhost vsftpd: PAM adding faulty module: /lib/security/pam_keyinit.so
Nov 13 18:59:03 localhost vsftpd: pam_userdb(vsftpd:auth): user 'webmaster' granted access

Any idea on how to change the default home to /home/virtualftp/webmaster instead of /?

Thanks for your help

Seeing the "/" may not be bad, if you're chroot'ed, that's all you'll see, even though you're in your own home directory. Check your config file, and that'll tell you.

And does that pam file exist?

Yep, I chroot'ed, so I guess that's ok
And no, the pam file doesn't exist, do you know how can I create it?

Thanks for your answer.

You don't create that file, it's part of the pam libraries. Since you're on Fedora 5 (which is ancient), your vsftpd may be newer (and looking for features your system doesn't provide).

Try to update your pam libraries, which will give you that file.
