Problem with Red Hat Enterprise Server 4 Hanging on Grub

Problem with a RHEL 4 installation. Have an RHEL installation on a Hp Server which hangs. After a time its hanging and dont boot.
Worked a few months without problem but now its says:
Tryes to boot from CD
Tryes to boot from c
Grub
Have run the first installation cd from RHEL in rescue mode and its goes without fault and says that it has mounted up a sysimage. After that i tryed to boot but same error.
Have also tryed to run a knoppix livecd.
Problem: Dont know the disks name and where they located. Seems that now boot is under dev/cciss/c0d0p1 and that could not be the disks?

When i run Knoppix i dont know how to access disks so i just run inside the knoppix live cd.

Can someone help me as i dont want to install Linux again couse we have and oracle 10 installation on the server. The meaning is to run an Oracle Enterprice Manager on that server to agent some servers.

So i want the server up with Linux.

Can anybody help me with this and please with exact paht to go couse im not so good in linux.

Thanks for reading this and hope someone can help

Cd 1

Start with a recovery using CD1. Red Hat is usually pretty good about being able to recover.
