Unhappy Problem with my Linux System

Hi All,

I have problem with my linux vm, when I'm trying to mount a file system, it hungs.

When I restarted myvm it shows,
"Can't mount root filesystem
Boot has failed, sleeping forever"

When I try to mount my root filesystem via grub it shows,
"grub> set pager=1
Error 27: Unrecognized command"

For every command its output is "unrecognized command".

Can anyone help me to sort out this ?

Thanks for your help and comments,

Sounds like the file for the VM is corrupt.

You could create an entirely new VM and try to copy that one as the base to see if that works.

Not too sure if you can do something like a file system check or check and repair the file describing the VM and if that would work. I'm only ever done something like fsck on an entire partition, not a VM file.
