Problem loading in third party Apache Module

Hi Folks

Having an issue with loading in a 3rd party apache module...

see below

extract of httpd.conf

# Example:
# LoadModule foo_module modules/mod_foo.so
#
LoadModule bmproxy_module modules/mod_bmproxy.so

---

Now when I try to start apache

[root@squonk ~]# /usr/local/apache2/bin/apachectl start
Syntax error on line 233 of /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/local/apache2/modules/mod_bmproxy.so into server: /usr/local/apache2/modules/mod_bmproxy.so: undefined symbol: __gxx_personality_v0
[root@squonk ~]#

So what have i done to fix it...

According to some articles this is fixed by adding EXTRA_LDFLAGS="lstdc++" seems to help, however not in my case... :-(

Also having the libstdc++ shared library helps in the firstplace helps..

[root@squonk ~]# rpm -qa libstdc++
libstdc++-3.4.6-8
[root@squonk ~]#

My Compiler options are as follows

[root@squonk lib]# gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/3.4.6/specs
Configured with: ../configure --prefix=/usr --mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info --enable-shared --enable-threads=posix --disable-checking --with-system-zlib --enable-__cxa_atexit --disable-libunwind-exceptions --enable-java-awt=gtk --host=i386-redhat-linux
Thread model: posix
gcc version 3.4.6 20060404 (Red Hat 3.4.6-8)

So there is obviously something that I am missing... question is what is it?

Your help always appreciated..

Fixed It !!:-)
--------------
After getting the 3rd Party company to let me know that it had to be recompiled and sending me the source files...

I did the following

rpmbuild -ba --target=i686 files.spec

And hey presto a newly baked module..

Thanks for being there in spirit on this on...
