Pound on CentOS 5

I'm trying to install Pound reverse proxy and load balancer into a CentOS 5 x64 server. This is as far as I can get:

Code:
 rpm -i /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/pound-2.5-1.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
        libtcmalloc.so.0 is needed by pound-2.5-1.i386
I cannot find how to use libtcmalloc.so.0. I also have google-preftools-devel installed.

Any help is much appreciated.

Maybe google-perftools-1.3-3.el5.kb.x86_64.rpm from the Karan repo?

Do you not have Yum installed/configured? Makes installation a whole lot easier than finding all the dependencies yourself.

I do have Yum installed but I can't seem to figure this crap out lol. I haven't used CentOS much before. I'm more of a Debian user migrating and it was easy to update my apt sources.list file.

You said this is a CentOS 5 x64 server so I don't get the 64bit warnings. Have you been mixing library versions by any chance?
