Postifx trouble - Mail files being corrupted?!?

Hi all,

got a bit of a problem with postfix I keep getting errors that relate to the mail file being unwriteable due to permissions/non existant or over quota.

non of these are true, the files exist and are writable, a chown of the files has no effect and it only seems to be happening on the 2 biggest mail files.

if i move the mail files touch a new one and then chown it it works for about 2 days then corrupts again, the clients can use webmail and outlook to access their inboxes, if i cat the old inboxes to the new ones the mail shows up as new mail... mail the client says has been deleted.

any ideas because im at a loss here.

Matty

EDIT -->

procmail: Error while writing to "/var/mail/<mailfile>

is the error i get

<-- TIDE
