Postfix & Outlook 2007

Hi,
Kind of newbie....I'm getting this message from outlook:

Send test e-mail message: Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).

I'm using courier mta & postfix. I'm able to read, send, receive messages localy or using squirrelmamil. When I'm trying to use outlook it does not work. No errors in logs. Is there something I need to add in main.cf that outlook is able to sent messages. I even disabled all firewalls etc. still not able to connect.
Any ideas?

Thanks guys.
Julie

I'm sure if you check your postfix master.cf you'll find you only have it listening on localhost rather than it being anything "Outlook" specific.

Look for a line like this near the top of the file:

Code:
127.0.0.1:smtp inet n - n - - smtpd
Add another line the same but with the LAN IP address of your server instead of 127.0.0.1 or change the line to *:smtp and then restart postfix.
