Postfix and amavist : while sending end of data -- message may be sent more than once
 

Since today morning we are getting this error, could not track down the cause. Can anyone help?

We are running :
Postfix
Amavis and Clam


70A6C45A1CE: to=<actualemailid@yahoo.com>, relay=none, delay=0, status=deferred (delivery temporarily suspended: lost connection with 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1] while sending end of data -- message may be sent more than once)

Any clue?

Anything interesting in /var/log/messages ? ... looks like one of the components may be failing ( amavis, smtpd .. )

Nop. Could not catch anything from /var/log/messages. Restarted all the services and those are running fine.

Try 'grep amavis /var/log/maillog' ...

I found following grep in maillog :

/var/log/maillog:1461:May 23 04:04:16 smtp amavis[23811]: TROUBLE in child_init_hook: BDB no dbS: Lock table is out of available locker entries, . at (eval 35) line 26.

and when I search for that on web I found :

So I think in my case also I should upgrade. What do you think? Is there any other issue cause this issue?

Definitely give it a try, especially if you're way behind on patching

i have Redhat Linux 4.3
postfix, spamassassin, clamav on mail gateway
I frequently receive following error message particularly from yahoo.com and yahoo.co.in

There are no error messages in /var/log/maillog as well as /var/log/messages. I restarted all the machine but still the problem persists.

Please guide.
