Post fix sends to some addresses but not others. [Solved}

I am running with gentoo and everything is up to date the kernel is 2.6.19-r5

I have installed postfix and I have been working with it for some time having a specific problem that just does not make sense to me.

using webmin, from the postfix / read user mail / compose I send myself a message to a yahoo.com address and I get the e-mail, if I send it to my pacbell.net address I never receive it. The log does not show any problems with the pacbell delivery, and I have checked to make sure the message is not being filtered as spam.

Thank you for you help

Here is the output from the log
Because the domain is relevant but I don't want to advertise it here I am replaing it with the word FILTERED
e-mail addresses have been replaced as well.

postconf -n would have made a more readable config output for us to view listing only values you have changed from default.. Just a pointer for the future..

Thanks for the quick replies

I believe it does http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FQDN however I have not entered it as that for the mydomain setting, and I have never used the trailing period.

Once I put the FQDN into the hosts (etc/hosts) file everything started working, thanks for the help.

Pardon the stupid question, but what specifically did you put in /etc/hosts?

Longtex, until you get a response from KentSimon, I think the entry to match

myhostname = mail.FILTERED.com

would be along the lines of

127.0.0.1 mail.FILTERED.com mail localhost.localdomain localhost

At least that's the equivalent in mine
