My HP ML 570 G Server has five Serial SCSI disks. Disk 0 and 1 are mirrored, 2 and 3 are mirrored and 5 is hot spare for disk 0 and 1 mirror. Server is connected to EMC storage. There are two HBA cards and two ethernet cards. Also there are six filesystems namely /, /boot, /usr, /opt, /var, u01. I got tape backup using dump command. Then I tried to restore root filesystem using restore command. Having restored the filesystem, network service and EMP Power Path didn't up. /var/log/messages says 'eth0 and eth1 have different MAC accresses' and some bunch of errors. Please relpy anyone who knows the solution.
1) The title. You'll p#%$ people off with that.
2) You don't bother telling us what distro you use or any useful information about the software environment
3) Copies of the error messages fro mthe log. "Some bunch of errors" is not very descriptive.
How about you deal with 2 & 3 and avoid 1 in future (and no, it's not urgent to anyone but you)
Hay, Sorry for the delay. My system is EHEL V4 - 64bit 2.6.9-42.ELsmp. It is not possible get log files having restord because I am unable to get copy that log because my USB drive was not detected by the system. According to your experience, can this issue occur due to missing of some files coping?
