please help me


Dear friends,
I am using rhed 9 whenever i am trying to start service ypbind start it showing me

"Listening for NIS domain server .................[FAILED]

and after that when i am trying to connect using telnet commend and my ip add. # telnet 192.168.1.1 it's showing me one messang

telnet:unable to connect remote host: connection refused

Please tell me what should i do ?

For ypbind portmapper service must be running. But i think you have network configuration problem. Do u tested your server connectivity using ping command.

ping 192.168.1.1
