PHP Slackware Get TLS/SSL Working

Hey, I successfully compiled php with openssl but it gives me the error:
Quote:
Unable to find the socket transport "ssl"
or with tls
Quote:
Unable to find the socket transport "tls"
how can i fix that ?
The error is caused by phpbb trying to send mail through gmail.

Thanks for your time, Xeross

Hey there

If you compiled php with openssl then you may need to enable the extension in php.ini
Quote:
extension=php_openssl.dll
As far as i know with php5 you can dinamically link in SSL/TLS transport wrappers. You may want to make use of stream_get_transports() function in order to get an indexed array containing the name of all socket transports available on the running system and then use them.

Regards
Andy

I apologise for thr wrong info. The correct extension is .so instead of .dll
