Performance monitoring


my lan users are complaining about solow internet browsing, i have fc7 installed on gateway machine, how do i know about squid performance ?

i am not using delay pools, or tc.

first of all, i would check if the internet-uplink might be too slow with a tool like "iptraf". Then check the cpu-load and memory usage of your machine with "top" or something similar.

if all that doesn't show a problem, you could try to tweak squid.
